Catherine Abbey Hodges is the author of Instead of Sadness, winner of the 2015 Barry Spacks Poetry Prize. Her poems have appeared widely and been selected for Verse Daily and The Writer's Almanac. Catherine teaches English and mentors student writers at Porterville College.
